Q |
How to create a postcode selection? |
A |
You can type in a part of the postcode followed by the star "*" for example "ab*". Please note that the star "*" represents any character or number. For example if you want to make a selection on Birmingham (Postcode area "B") you have to type in "b[1-99]*" meaning that "b" is followed by a number. Otherwise the system will assume that you are looking for everything beginning with B (B11 1AW; BT24 2TH; BR9 3TF; etc.) |
Q |
Can I make multiple selections? |
A |
Yes, you can have multiple selection separated by a comma "," For example If you want to select York, Harrogate and Birmingham you would type: yo*, hg*, b[1-99]* However, it's much easier to use the Postcode Area Map for this particular type of search. |

A |
Each postcode area has its own checkbox. Tick as many postcode areas as you want and click "Run Count " |
Q |
Can I select the entire region in one click? |
A |
Yes, simple click on the checkbox for the region(s) you require and all the postcode areas within the region will be ticked. |

Some of the towns listed in the selection box occur infrequently in the database. We suggest using the Postcode Map to cover a wider area than the town if the counts are too small. |
